Crystal Pavilion

A Scientific Museum Design By Reunderstanding 1851 Crystal Palace

Date:  Sep 2018 - Nov 2018

Cluster:  Architecture

Work Type:  Individual

This is a scientific museum design. It is inspired by the 19th century British construction of the crystal palace, which is a symbol of the first industrial revolution and represents the progress of technology. The design retains its purity as an exhibition space, with the office and exhibition areas effectively separated. The core of the design is the façade. This façade uses chemical technology to convert solar energy into sustainable light energy to provide wall lighting throughout the pavilion, further preserving its purity.
